VietJet Air will inaugurate its Hanoi-Sydney route on June 8.
The service will operate with two round trips per week, departing from Hanoi on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and from Sydney on Thursdays and Sundays. The aircraft used will be the Airbus A330. The flight duration will be 10 hours from Hanoi, and 10 hours and 30 minutes from Sydney. This route is also operated by Vietnam Airlines with three round trips per week.
This will enable access from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to five Australian cities: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.
