H.I.S. (HIS) is chartering a foreign luxury cruise for the first time.
Starting this fall, they have chartered the inaugural voyage of Viking Cruises’ “Viking Eden,” sailing on an 8-day tour from Kobe around the Seto Inland Sea, Tanegashima, the Goto Islands, and Busan. The departure date is November 23.
The domestic ports of call, including Shingu, Kumano, Beppu, Tanegashima, and Fukue in the Goto Islands, will all be making their first visit, with HIS staff onboard to support the cruise in Japanese. The price for double occupancy starts from 399,000 yen, including all meals with some alcoholic drinks during lunch and dinner, Wi-Fi, tips, and taxes.
“Viking Eden” was launched in 2017. It is 227 meters long with a gross tonnage of 47,800 tons, and a capacity of 930 guests. All guest rooms face the sea and come with a veranda. The cruising age is limited to over 18 years old, offering a comfortable and spacious luxury cruise for adults. It deliberately does not include facilities like casinos and entertainment venues.
