KabuK Style has announced a temporary halt in new member recruitment for its travel subscription service ‘HafH’ starting from May.
HafH, which began its service in April 2019, has seen its membership grow to 100,000, with over 500,000 nights booked. Considering the increase in membership and bookings, the effects of a weaker yen, and the rise in accommodation costs due to more foreign visitors to Japan, the company has decided to focus on upgrading to a more scalable system and fundamentally improving the service.
The service for existing members will continue. A campaign was held from April 24th to April 30th, during which 3,000 new memberships were offered on a limited basis.
As of the end of December 2023, the service supports over 2,000 accommodation facilities in 30 countries both in and outside of Japan and has begun offering a subscription service for immediate purchase of JAL airline tickets.
