Resort Trust has opened the membership resort hotel “Sanctuary Court Takayama Art Gallery Resort” on March 25.
The location serves as the first facility for the new “Sanctuary Court” brand. The name Sanctuary Court, meaning a royal palace in a sanctuary, positions itself as a destination hotel providing a new staying experience and value in a private space away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Situated on the site of the former Hida Takayama Art Museum, it offers an “Art Gallery Resort” that merges a hotel and an art museum, providing a space surrounded by art. The building consists of one basement level and six above-ground floors. It features a total of 121 suite rooms, including Royal Suites, Luxury Suites, and Club Suites.
The restaurant offers an Italian cuisine restaurant characterized by an open dining area integrated with a garden terrace, and a Japanese cuisine restaurant that modernly integrates Takayama’s nature and culture. It includes a hot spring known for its “beauty skin water”, a sky terrace with views of the Northern Alps, and houses the “Hida Takayama Art Museum” accessible to non-members as well.
Access is about 4 minutes by car from JR Takayama Main Line Takayama Station. It’s approximately 10 minutes by car from the Chubu-Jukan Expressway Takayama Interchange (IC).
