Tripla has started introducing multi-currency payment support on its accommodation reservation engine, ‘tripla Book’.
Based on the user’s IP address, it now offers accommodation rates displayable in 32 currencies. This eliminates the need for currency conversion, reducing dropout rates, and enables payments with foreign-issued credit cards by supporting foreign currency settlements, thereby minimizing the loss of transactions due to payment errors.
Many foreign guests book through online travel agencies (OTAs), which involves significant commission fees and difficulty in acquiring customer data. Encouraging reservations through their own official website is emphasized as crucial.
