Forest has launched “Yugawara Retreat Enso” (enso), a lodging facility equipped with an art gallery, on April 26.
Located on Yugemotodori in Yugawara Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, this approximately 100-year-old traditional house (formerly Daikanso) has been renovated into a lodging facility with diverse functions such as galleries and event spaces after going through a regeneration project. The guest rooms include 12 single rooms designed for solo travelers, totaling 14 rooms. Despite their minimal design, they feature comfortably large beds. Guests can use the natural hot springs of “Forest Resort Yugemoto Komachikan” connected by a corridor and “Yugawara Mizunokaori” located about a minute’s walk away.
The first floor houses a community terrace, an alternative studio, and an art gallery. In May, the dining bar “ENSO KITCHEN” will open, serving meals made with local ingredients to both guests and visitors.
Access is about a minute’s walk from the Izu Hakone Bus / Hakone Tozan Bus “Onsenba Chuo” bus stop.
