Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo will sell a seasonal event-themed Shima-Enaga cake for a limited time starting May 1st.
The Shima-Enaga piece cake features a light mousse made of fromage blanc, sour cream, Italian meringue, and whipped cream, encasing apricot compote, jelly, and vanilla mousse within. From May 1st to 5th, the cake features a Shima-Enaga wearing a helmet to celebrate Children’s Day, and from May 6th to 12th, it changes to a Shima-Enaga holding a carnation for Mother’s Day.
The Shima-Enaga roll cake “’Shima-Enaga’ Petit Ange Mignon” will switch to a summer version inspired by melons from June 1st to August 31st. It’s a roll cake made with melon jelly and cream, decorated with Shima-Enaga, dolphins, and sunflowers.
The cakes are available at the 1st floor Pastry Boutique “Poppins”. Business hours are from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Prices are 680 yen (tax included) for the Shima-Enaga piece cake, and 3,240 yen (same) for the ‘Shima-Enaga’ Petit Ange Mignon.
