Sushiro Establishes Local Subsidiary Ahead of Expansion into Malaysia
Toridoll Makes Its First Foray into China with ‘Ramen Zundoya’
Toridoll Holdings has made its first entry into China with ‘Ramen Zundoya’.
The first store is located near Xujiahui Station, a major terminal station in Shanghai. The area is popular and surrounded by many major commercial facilities and office buildings, home to a diverse collection of restaurants from around the world. The restaurant seats 51 customers and is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In mainland China, the franchise development is carried out with the local partner, Shanghai Ruijian, aiming to open more than 200 stores.
‘Ramen Zundoya’ is conceptually designed as a festive space. It serves as its specialty, ‘2 types of noodles’ made from special flour and homemade, and ‘rich pork bone soup’ that is stewed for over 10 hours using only water and pork bones as its ingredients. There are 88 stores in Japan, with future plans for global expansion.
In China, the same recipes as in Japan will be offered, including the popular ‘Flavored Egg Ramen’ (36 yuan), which is based on the rich pork bone soup similar to Japan’s taste, and a low-salt version that meets local needs.
