Keikyu to Launch Train Boarding Service via Credit Card Touch Payment by the End of 2024
Keikyu Corporation will start supporting boarding at select stations using touch payment-enabled credit cards and other means from within the year 2024.
This will be carried out in partnership with Mitsui Sumitomo Card, Visa Worldwide Japan, JCB, Toshiba Infrastructure Systems, and QUADRAC.
The service will be available at a total of 9 stations including all stations on the Airport Line, Shinagawa Station, and Yokohama Station. Passengers can board by touching their cards or smartphones to a newly installed dedicated reader at the gates. Supported brands include Visa, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and UnionPay. Mastercard will be added sequentially.
