Japan Airlines (JAL) will start operating its second ‘JAL Myakumyaku JET’ (Boeing 787-8 aircraft, registration number: JA823J) on international flights from June 3.
This is in commemoration of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, which will be held from April 13 to October 13, 2025, in Yumeshima, Osaka. The design features the official mascot ‘Myakumyaku’. The first aircraft is operated by J-Air.
The routes include Tokyo/Haneda to Dalian, Shanghai/Pudong, Seoul/Gimpo, Taipei/Songshan, Ho Chi Minh, Tokyo/Narita to Ho Chi Minh, Bangkok, Osaka/Kansai to Bangkok, Taipei/Taoyuan, etc. The operating period is until around August 2025.
There is also a plan for the third special livery aircraft to start operating on domestic flights.
