Unused ‘Tokyo Station 100th Anniversary Commemorative Suica Cards’ to Expire in March 2026
JR East is alerting that the ‘Tokyo Station 100th Anniversary Commemorative Suica Cards’, which have never been used, will expire.
The ‘Tokyo Station 100th Anniversary Commemorative Suica’ was released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Tokyo Station on December 20, 2014. Originally planned to be sold at Tokyo Station on the same day, the sale was abruptly stopped due to an overwhelming crowd that exceeded expectations. Subsequently, sales switched to the internet and postal mail, reaching approximately 4.991 million applications.
Since JR East has issued these cards multiple times and cannot specify the exact issuance period for each card, the expiration date for the unused ‘Tokyo Station 100th Anniversary Commemorative Suica Cards’ is uniformly set to March 31, 2026.
