Mandarin Oriental Tokyo will be hosting ‘The Road of Canton Flavour’ through September.
This limited event for 12 guests features chefs finishing dishes right before your eyes and offers the chance for conversations with the chefs, with sessions on May 31, July 11, and September 12.
The May 31 session, ‘Taste of Essence – A Journey to the Essence of Cantonese Cuisine’, will focus on broths, offering dishes made with various ingredients and cooking methods. The July 11 session is aimed at gourmet diners, offering ‘A Premium Dim Sum Journey’ with premium dim sums not found in the usual menu. The September 12 session, ’58 Wuti Street – Into the Imaginary Alleys of Hong Kong’, will present unique Cantonese dishes under the theme of “If the ‘Sense’ of Cantonese cuisine were a small restaurant in the township”, differing from the regular menu.
The venue is the Cantonese restaurant ‘Sense’ with a capacity of 12 people. The events on May 31 and September 12 start at 6:30 PM, and the event on July 11 starts at 12:30 PM. The price, excluding service charge but including tax, is 50,000 yen for the May 31 and September 12 sessions, and 18,000 yen for the July 11 session.
