Vietnam Airlines has operated a charter flight on the Izumo-Hanoi route.
The operation was realized based on the memorandum of understanding signed with Shimane Prefecture in December 2023, aimed at initiating scheduled international flights, marking the first charter service on this route.
The flights were operated on May 25th and 29th, with one round trip each day, totaling two round trips using the Airbus A321 aircraft. A launch ceremony attended by Tatsuya Maruyama, Governor of Shimane Prefecture, and Pham Kuanh Hieu, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan, was held at Izumo Airport on May 25th. The VN9335 flight from Izumo had 156 passengers onboard, and the VN9334 flight from Hanoi had 164 passengers.
