Sino-Japanese International Ferry: New Ship ‘Jianzhen’ to Launch on June 8

The Sino-Japanese International Ferry will launch its new ship, ‘Jianzhen’, on June 8.

This vessel will replace the Suzhou and will operate on the Shanghai to Osaka/Kobe route. The first voyage is scheduled to depart from Shanghai on June 8 and arrive in Osaka on June 11. Afterward, it will operate on a schedule with alternating weekly arrivals in Kobe and Osaka; arriving in Osaka on Mondays and departing on Tuesdays.

Due to delays in the renovation work at the Shanghai passenger terminal, passenger services are expected to resume in September, and for the time being, only cargo transport will be conducted. The new ‘Jianzhen’ will operate on this route, offering alternating weekly arrivals in Kobe and Osaka; Thursdays and Fridays respectively.
