Cathay Pacific Airways is set to gradually offer free in-flight Wi-Fi to its business class passengers.
The implementation is expected to start this summer. First-class passengers already enjoy free access. Cathay Pacific’s website and the Cathay Shop’s online shopping site are accessible free of charge for all classes.
The service has been introduced on all Airbus A350 and Airbus A321neo aircraft, as well as on some of the Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft. The usual rates are 12.95 USD for flights under 6 hours, 19.95 USD for flights over 6 hours, and 9.95 USD for an hour. For flights under 6 hours, a messaging pass that allows the use of messaging apps is available for 3.95 USD.
