Hoshino Resorts Risonare Iriomote Hotel will be hosting the “Pine Beer Fest” from June 16 to August 31.
Since 2021, the event has been held annually to spread wider awareness of Iriomote Island’s pineapples. At the hotel poolside, two giant pineapple-shaped servers dispensing chilled beer and pineapple juice will be set up, offering pineapples at their peak ripeness. New this year, pineapple-themed gourmet options such as pineapple roast pork and pineapple shaved ice will be available for purchase. The parasols will change to pineapple colors, and rental items including pineapple-themed floats and cushions will be provided.
The event will take place at the poolside, from 3 PM to 5 PM, and is exclusively available to guests staying at the hotel. The costs are 1,000 yen for a beer jug rental, 1,000 yen for the pineapple roast pork, and 2,000 yen for the pineapple shaved ice, all prices including taxes. Pineapples and pineapple juice will be available for free.
