Hotel Metropolitan Hosts ‘Delicious Iwate Fair’ from June 1 to July 16
Hotel Metropolitan will host the ‘Delicious Iwate Fair’, offering ingredients and local cuisine from Iwate Prefecture, from June 1 to July 16.
At the Japanese restaurant ‘Hanamushi’, a course meal incorporating Iwate prefecture’s ingredients such as sweet sea urchin, greenling, sea squirt, Iwahime salmon, Iwanaka pork, along with local dishes like Ikaninabe (squid stew) and Hittsumi-jiru (noodle soup) will be available. Examples of menus and prices include the ‘Chef’s Special Kaiseki’ dinner at 13,000 yen, ‘Seasonal Kaiseki’ at 10,000 yen, and the ‘Hojyuzu’ lunch set at 4,900 yen. All prices include service charge and tax.
In the seasonal tea house ‘Shunka’, centered around teppanyaki and charcoal grill cuisine, course meals as well as individual dishes, Iwate Prefecture’s sake, and local beer will be available. Examples of menus and prices include the ‘Shikisai Course’ at 7,000 yen, Iwate beef sirloin lava plate grill (80g) at 8,400 yen, aquapazza of sweetfish and Shuuri clam at 2,200 yen, and grilling scallops on the beach at 1,550 yen.
