Iberia and Volaris Agree on Codeshare
Iberia Airlines and Volaris have agreed to implement a codeshare. Following regulatory approval, they plan to start in July.
The agreement covers domestic flights in Mexico operated by Volaris Airlines, connecting Mexico City with 25 cities. These include Acapulco, Cancun, Chetumal, Chihuahua, Ciudad Juarez, Cozumel, Culiacan, Guadalajara, Hermosillo, Huatulco, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, La Paz, Los Mochis, Mazatlan, Merida, Mexicali, Monterrey, Oaxaca, Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Escondido, San Juan del Cabo, Tapachula, Tijuana, Tuxtla Gutierrez, and Villahermosa.
Iberia operates 3 daily round trips between Spain and Mexico, each using a three-class, 348-seat Airbus A350-900 aircraft. This year, the airline plans to offer more than 772,000 seats, a 17% increase compared to 2019.
