ITA Airways has launched the Rome/Fiumicino to Accra route on June 6.
The service operates three round trips per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. From July, the frequency will increase to four round trips per week, adding Mondays. The aircraft used is an Airbus A321neo, which is equipped with 12 business class seats, 12 premium economy seats, and 141 economy class seats, for a total of 165 seats. The flight duration is 5 hours and 45 minutes from Rome and 5 hours and 50 minutes from Accra.
This marks ITA Airways’ first venture into sub-Saharan Africa. The airline will also begin service to Dakar in July.
