Karuizawa Asama Prince Hotel is selling ‘Adult Cream Soda’ from June 3 to September 8.
Using a whole seasonal melon at its peak in early summer, this creation is served in a melon bowl topped with the scooped-out melon flesh and ice gold foil, and completed with champagne or cider poured into it. The champagne option uses the ‘Edsick Monopole Blue Top Brut’ with its floral and delicate Chardonnay scent, while the cider option features the local ‘Tateshina Onsen Water Cider’, made with the brewery’s own water.
It is available on the first floor at ‘Dining Bloom’. The serving times are from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (last order at 2:30 PM) and from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM (last order at 8:30 PM). The price is 13,500 yen for melon and champagne, and 5,000 yen for melon and Tateshina Onsen Water Cider, both prices excluding service charges and including tax.
