Kiyoken Releases Limited-Time ‘Dreaming Bamboo Shoot Shumai Bento’ with About Four Times the Usual Amount of Braised Bamboo Shoots
Kiyoken will release the ‘Dreaming Bamboo Shoot Shumai Bento,’ which contains about four times the usual amount of braised bamboo shoots, for a limited time.
In April, through an online polling project titled ‘The Shumai Bento I Want to Eat Again!’ it was selected from among ten special ‘Shumai Bentos’ that had been released, marking its return after seven years.
While the bento features approximately four times the usual amount of the popular braised bamboo shoots, it reduces the traditional shumai to three pieces. It does not include chicken karaage, marinated grilled tuna, or apricots. The regular ‘Shumai Bento’ will also be available.
The price is 950 yen (including tax). It will be sold from June 21 to June 30 at about 160 stores primarily in Tokyo and Kanagawa, with an estimated sales of about 15,000 units during the period.
