Skymark Surpasses 10 Million Passengers on Kagoshima Routes
Skymark’s cumulative passenger count on flights to and from Kagoshima has surpassed 10 million.
Skymark first launched the Kagoshima to Tokyo/Haneda route on April 18, 2002, marking its inauguration in Kagoshima. Despite a temporary suspension starting April 21, 2006, the service was resumed with the launching of the Kagoshima to Kobe route on September 1, 2010, and the re-launch of the Kagoshima to Tokyo/Haneda route on October 31 of the same year. Today, Skymark operates a total of 20 flights per day, including 10 round trips, between Kagoshima and Tokyo/Haneda, Nagoya/Chubu, Kobe, and Amami Oshima.
On June 13, to commemorate surpassing 10 million passengers, passengers on four flights departing from Kagoshima were presented with commemorative flight tags and ticket holders as gifts.
