The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has introduced an advanced analysis solution, ‘IATA FuelIS’, which utilizes anonymized and aggregated flight and fuel data to optimize the fuel consumption for airlines.
Leveraging data from the IATA Global Aviation Data Management System (GADM), which comprises the fuel data of 215 airlines worldwide, it allows for the evaluation of data related to specific markets, regions, countries, and aircraft types based on actual operational data.
Fuel costs account for about one-third of the operational costs of an airline. Utilizing these data can expand the opportunities to save fuel.
