
Emirates Operates Limited Special Flights from Dubai to the Middle East and Europe on March 3
Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced that it will continue applying the current amounts for its International Fuel Surcharge for tickets issued starting August.
The surcharge is determined based on the 2-month average market price of Singapore kerosene in U.S. dollars, converted to Japanese yen using the 2-month average currency exchange rate. The average price of Singapore kerosene from April to May was $99.41 per barrel, and the average exchange rate was 154.78 yen to the dollar, resulting in a calculated amount of 15,387 yen.
For tickets issued from August 1 to September 30 for journeys originating in Japan, the surcharge per one-way trip will be 4,000 yen for Korea & Far East Russia routes, 9,200 yen for East Asia excluding Korea & Mongolia, 12,000 yen for Guam, Palau, Philippines, Vietnam, Mongolia, & Russia (Irkutsk), 18,500 yen for Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, & Russia (Novosibirsk), 22,500 yen for Hawaii, Indonesia, India, & Sri Lanka, and 35,000 yen for routes to North America, Europe, Middle East, & Oceania excluding Hawaii.
