Japan Airlines (JAL) has started offering a residential high-speed Internet service named ‘JAL Hikari’ from June 19.
The service is provided in collaboration with Sony Network Communications and USEN NETWORKS. It offers plans with maximum download speeds of 1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, and 10 Gbps, supporting multiple device use and high-capacity data transmission.
Upon signing a new contract, customers can earn up to 6,000 miles, 100 miles for every month of usage, 1 mile for every 100 yen spent using JAL cards, and up to 2,000 miles for every year of continued service, accumulating up to 9,824 miles for 13 months and up to 17,472 miles for three years of continued use. Pricing plans include 5,200 yen for a 2 Gbps detached house plan and 4,070 yen for a 1 Gbps apartment plan, among others.
To celebrate the launch of the service, new contracts will receive 10,000 miles. The application period is from June 19 to August 31, with the service starting no later than March 31, 2025.
