Biwako Hotel will offer shaved ice inspired by Murasaki Shikibu and Sei Shonagon from June 18 to August 31.
Inspired by the characters from the period drama ‘To You Who Shines’, they will release ‘ Shaved Ice -Moonlit Night-‘, imagining the full moon on a moonlit night, layered with yogurt and cream cheese, kumquat confiture, sweetened with honey butterfly pea agar and syrup to express the night sky’s sparkle, decorated with a lemon chip representing the full moon. ‘ Shaved Ice -Elegance-‘ imagines loveliness, with shaved ice drizzled in Uji matcha syrup, wrapped around small adzuki beans and caramel ice, topped with honey whipped cream and plum blossoms.
The location is on the 2nd floor ‘Cafe Bellargo’. Available from 2 PM to 5 PM. Prices are 1,200 yen each for a single serving, and 1,600 yen each for a drink set, including service charge and tax.
