The Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa is selling the “Moon Waiting Set ~Tanabata~” from June 28 to July 7.
This is the first collaboration between the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa, which celebrates its 70th anniversary in November 2023, and Nippon Broadcasting, which marks its 70th anniversary in July. Six announcers from Nippon Broadcasting have created a set of Japanese sweets and cocktails inspired by Orihime and Hikoboshi, the mythical characters associated with the Tanabata festival. The Japanese sweets include a thin sheet of candy and a kingyokukan (jelly sweet), looking like tanzaku (wishing strips), garnished with konpeito (sugar candy) on a plate. The cocktails represent Orihime with framboise liqueur and cranberry juice, and Hikoboshi with a base of vodka, mixed with blue curaçao and grapefruit juice.
The venue is located on the first floor at “Lounge Koumei”. Available from 2 PM to 9 PM. The price is 2,200 yen, service charge not included, tax included.
