Air Canada Considers Expanding to Two Cities in Japan
Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Grants Spring Japan Access to Haneda Airport
Following the recommendation from the Transport Council, Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has granted approval for Spring Japan to operate flights into Haneda Airport.
Starting from August 1st, there will be a daily round trip from Tokyo/Haneda to Sapporo/New Chitose and Kitakyushu, using the Airbus A321 freighter aircraft.
According to Article 107-3 Paragraph 1 of the Aviation Law, domestic airlines intending to manage scheduled air transport business using any of the five airports: Tokyo/Narita, Tokyo/Haneda, Osaka/Kansai, Osaka/Itami, and Fukuoka, must obtain permission from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to operate at each airport. This approval marks the second congested airport to which Spring Japan has been granted access, following Narita International Airport.
