Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo will offer a Sumida Aquarium collaboration afternoon tea from July 1 to September 30.
The menu includes sweets inspired by seven kinds of creatures living in Sumida Aquarium and savory items using vegetables from Ogasawara, such as seal cookies and lemon-flavored madeleines, chinanago (spotted garden eel) shortcake, jellyfish mousse, sea turtle tart, quinoa, and seaweed salad with Ogasawara salt sablé. Drinks include a selection of free-flow coffee and tea.
The night afternoon tea adds a limited cocktail “Jelly Fish Squash,” two additional drinks, and a set of limited quantity Magellanic penguin sugar on top of the regular afternoon tea offerings.
The place is on the 3rd floor “NAMIKI667”. The afternoon tea is available from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM for a three-hour duration, and the night afternoon tea from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on weekdays for a 90-minute duration, with last orders taken 30 minutes before closing. The price for the afternoon tea is 6,958 yen, with Sumida Aquarium entrance ticket included for 8,958 yen, and the night afternoon tea is priced at 6,070 yen.
