Boeing is set to acquire Spirit AeroSystems Holdings.
The purchase price is set at 37.25 USD per share, evaluating the company’s stock value at approximately 4.7 billion USD and the enterprise value at approximately 8.3 billion USD. This represents a 30% premium over the stock price as of February 29, the day the acquisition negotiations were announced.
The acquisition will enable further integration of manufacturing and engineering capabilities. As a condition of the acquisition’s completion, certain assets related to Airbus aircraft production will be divested to Airbus.
Additionally, plans are in place to sell operations in Subang, Malaysia, Prestwick, Scotland, and Belfast, Northern Ireland.
