Tigerair Taiwan has launched the Nagoya/Chubu to Taichung route on July 1st.
The service will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, as charter flights until August 30th. The flights are served by an Airbus A320 aircraft, configured with 180 economy class seats.
A ceremony was held at Chubu Centrair International Airport to mark the launch, featuring the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Hsu Chi-Yuan and ambassador Rio Uchida performing a ribbon-cutting. With this, Tigerair Taiwan’s routes from Nagoya/Chubu will increase to three, including five weekly round trips to Taipei/Taoyuan and three weekly round trips to Kaohsiung, totaling 10 weekly flights.
Chubu Centrair International Airport and Taichung International Airport signed a memorandum of understanding as sister airports in 2017, though direct flights had not been operated since then.
