Airbus to Acquire Parts of Spirit AeroSystems
Airbus is set to acquire certain assets of Spirit AeroSystems Holdings.
The acquisition includes the facilities producing the fuselage of the Airbus A350 aircraft in Kingston, United States, and Saint-Nazaire, France; the main wing and fuselage for the Airbus A220 aircraft in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Casablanca, Morocco; and the pylon production facilities for the Airbus A220 aircraft in Wichita, United States.
The acquisition price is 1 US dollar, with Airbus receiving 559 million US dollars in compensation. The acquisition is subject to conditions such as the completion of Boeing’s acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems.
