Hoshino Resort RISONARE Nasu will be hosting ‘Farmer’s Academy – Summer Holiday Research Project’ from July 22 to August 31.
The program will take place over two days at the “Agri-garden” on the premises. Participants, dressed in dedicated farming attire, will experience a range of agricultural activities – from tilling the soil with a cultivator, pollinating vegetable flowers, to harvesting vegetables. They will also learn about sorting, washing, and packaging the produce for delivery to the store. The workshop incorporates worksheets that can be used as subjects for summer holiday research projects.
The event will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and Fridays and Saturdays from July 22 to August 31. The fee is 10,000 yen (tax included) per elementary school student.
