ITA Airways has inaugurated its Rome/Fiumicino-Dakar service on July 3rd.
The route will be operated four times a week. The aircraft used is an Airbus A321neo, configured with 12 business class, 12 premium economy class, and 141 economy class seats, totalling 165 seats.
Emiliana Limosani, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), stated, “This is part of our summer network expansion, which is already yielding excellent booking results. Utilizing the new A321neo for this new flight not only expands our medium-haul network but also promotes commercial and cultural exchanges between Senegal and Italy, and enhances both leisure and business travel.”
This marks the second city in sub-Saharan Africa that ITA Airways has commenced, following Accra in June. The summer schedule plans to cover 57 cities.
