Greater Bay Airlines will operate charter flights on the Hong Kong to Sendai route.
The flights will be operated on July 17, 22, 27, and August 1, 6, 11, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 180 economy class seats.
Greater Bay Airlines was established in September 2021 by Mr. Wong Cho Bau, the founder of Donghai Airlines based in Shenzhen, China, and started regular operations in July 2022. Initially positioned as a low-cost carrier (LCC), in October 2022, it switched to a middle-class carrier (MCC). It currently operates 7 routes connecting Hong Kong with Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi, Taipei/Taoyuan, Seoul/Incheon, Tokyo/Narita, Osaka/Kansai, Ho Chi Minh, and Manila using Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The airline plans to introduce a two-class Boeing 737-9 by 2025 and aims to introduce Boeing 787-9 aircraft to fly to a total of 108 destinations, including Mainland China.
