‘JAL Insurance’ Adds Medical and Cancer Insurance
Japan Airlines (JAL) and JALUX have added medical insurance and cancer insurance to ‘JAL Insurance’.
‘JAL Insurance’ is an online insurance service that allows customers to apply and complete their contract entirely on a dedicated website. It began selling long-term care insurance from Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd. in September 2023, marking its second phase. Now, it has added medical insurance and cancer insurance products from Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd.
JAL Mileage Bank members earn one mile for every 150 yen spent on insurance premiums. There is a cap of 2,000 miles per contract per year, and miles are accrued monthly starting three months after the insurance start month.
