JR Shikoku Starts Pilot Program for Taxi Reservation Service on Limited Express Trains
JR Shikoku, in collaboration with Cyber Kotsu, has launched a pilot program that allows passengers to arrange taxi services from inside its limited express trains.
The service is available on the Yosan Line’s limited express trains (8600 and 8000 series trains) and includes participating stations and cooperating taxi companies: Utazu Station (Yamato Taxi), Marugame Station (Blue Taxi), Tadotsu Station (Tadotsu Taxi), Kawanoee Station (GOHAN), Iyo-Mishima Station (GOHAN), and Imabari Station (Heiwa Taxi).
Passengers can reserve a taxi by scanning a QR code displayed inside the train and submitting information such as their name, phone number, date of use, train name, and destination station through a taxi reservation form. The program runs from June 24 to November 30.
