Korea Tourism Organization Announces New Support Measures to Promote Educational Travel to Korea

The Korea Tourism Organization is launching new support measures to promote educational travel to Korea.

These measures target groups of ten or more Japanese elementary, middle, and high school students on educational trips to Korea, as well as university students and organizations related to Korean language and culture, offering two types of support from a choice of six.

As part of the B&S Program, support for matching with the foreign language tourist volunteer circle “Soulmate”, comprised of Korean university students, will be provided. This includes guidance around Seoul’s main tourist spots in a “General Course” and a “Campus Tour Course” which includes universities and their surrounding attractions, with the option to customize tours based on preferences.

Moreover, support is extended to include round-trip airfare between Japan and Korea for pre-visit inspections. This is intended for a wide range of individuals including school officials considering educational trips to Korea, prefectural and educational administrative international exchange officers, education committee members, and travel agents specialized in educational travel. A maximum of two individuals per school/institution are eligible.

Continuing from previous offers, a welcome kit, matching with exchange schools, financial support for performance viewing, Korean culture experience programs, and SDGs learning program participation costs are also provided.
