Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Advises Caution Due to Curfew Orders in Bangladesh

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a spot information alert advising caution due to the imposition of a curfew order in Bangladesh.

The Government of Bangladesh has issued a curfew order effective from the night of July 19 local time. The curfew is in place from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM on July 20, and from 2:00 PM on July 20 to 10:00 AM on July 21. The status after July 21 is unknown. Additionally, all forms of communication, other than telephone, are highly unstable.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges those staying in Bangladesh to stay informed through the media and other sources, to prioritize safety in their actions. Those planning to travel to Bangladesh are advised to carefully consider the advisability of their trip.
