Shin-Keisei Line to Become Keisei Matsudo Line Starting April, No Changes to Fares or Schedule
Keisei Electric Railway and Shin-Keisei Electric Railway announced on June 25th that their merger application has been approved by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The Shin-Keisei Line will become part of the Keisei Electric Railway’s Matsudo Line starting April 1st.
Shin-Keisei Electric Railway was established in 1946 as a subsidiary of Keisei Electric Railway and became a fully owned subsidiary in September 2022. The merger, set for April 1st, is part of Keisei Electric Railway’s plan to further strengthen its management structure.
The Shin-Keisei Line, spanning 26.5 km from Keisei Tsudanuma to Matsudo Station, includes 22 stations along the route. According to the companies, there will be no changes to fares or timetables due to the merger.
