Brazil’s National Bank for Economic and Social Development Grants Loan to Embraer for Export of 32 Aircraft to American Airlines
The Brazilian National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) has signed a loan agreement with Embraer for the export of 32 Embraer E175 aircraft to American Airlines.
The total amount of the loan is about 4.5 billion Brazilian Real. It aims to accelerate the production and export of the aircraft, boosting the country’s innovation and competitiveness. The loan utilizes the direct credit line for the export of domestic products. Since 1997, BNDES has supported the export of over 1,300 aircraft, lending more than 25 billion US dollars.
Earlier this year, American Airlines placed a firm order for 90 Embraer E175 aircraft. Including the option for an additional 43 aircraft, if the option is exercised, it would be worth approximately 7 billion US dollars at list prices.
