
VietJet Air places firm order for 100 Airbus A321neos, bringing total to 280
Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced at the Farnborough Airshow that it will place an additional order for up to 20 Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
The breakdown includes a firm order for 10 aircraft and options for another 10 to meet the growing demand for international flights.
Currently, JAL operates 22 Boeing 787-9 aircraft and 31 Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Leveraging their fuel efficiency and long range, JAL has also launched new routes to destinations such as San Diego, Boston, Bangalore, and Doha. The first operation of the Boeing 787-9 aircraft was in July 2015, on the Tokyo/Narita to Jakarta route.
