Luxair to Introduce Up to Four Boeing 737-10 Aircraft
Luxair has announced at the Farnborough Airshow the introduction of up to four Boeing 737-10 aircraft.
This follows its orders for the Boeing 737-7 and Boeing 737-8 models, with options exercised and an additional two options still available.
Anticipating significant operational cost reductions due to high commonality, noise reduction, and further decarbonization, the airline aims to flexibly use the appropriate aircraft according to market demand. The new aircraft will have a maximum seating capacity of 213, with a seat pitch of over 30 inches.
Currently, Luxair operates two leased Boeing 737-8 aircraft, in addition to 21 aircraft including the Boeing 737NG. Over the past two years, the airline has expanded its route network by 30%, now serving 94 destinations.
