JR East to Host 185 Series Train Driving Experience Event at Kawagoe Vehicle Center on August 24 & 25
JR East will hold a driving experience event for the 185 series on August 24 and 25.
This event offers a driving experience and a photography session for the 185 series train (200 series, 6-car formation). Participants can drive a 500-meter single-track section inside the premises round trip. Due to vehicle operation schedules, there is a possibility that the 185 series 0 series may be substituted.
The event will take place at the Kawagoe Vehicle Center. The times are divided into two sessions each day: from 9:30 AM to 12:20 PM and from 1:25 PM to 4:15 PM. The capacity is two participants per session, totaling eight participants. The minimum age requirement is 20 years. The fee is 150,000 yen (tax included). Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the JRE MALL Omiya Branch Shop starting from 10:00 AM on July 26.
In addition, a driving cab operation experience and vehicle photography session for the 185 series train will also be held at the Omiya General Vehicle Center Higashiomiya Center on August 21.
