Naru Developments is set to open ‘Yoruya’ this autumn.
The facility, originally built as a private residence for a kimono merchant during the Meiji period and approximately 110 years old, will be renovated and reopened as a culinary inn. It will have a total of 13 rooms across 5 types. The restaurant, reception area, suites, and junior suites will be located in the renovated and expanded area of the traditional building, while the newly constructed area will feature rooms designed with Kurashiki’s history and culture in mind.
The restaurant will feature 16 seats arranged in a U-shape, allowing guests to watch the preparation of local ingredients. The inn also offers a casual bar open to non-staying visitors as well.
Access is about a 10-minute drive from JR Kurashiki Station.
