Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced that a major strike by a local in-flight catering company has been avoided.
Initially, for flights between Tokyo/Haneda to Dallas/Fort Worth and Tokyo/Narita to Boston, a simplified menu was to be offered in all classes from July 30th, with boxed meals and light snacks being provided, limiting in-flight services.
The change in the operating schedule for flight JL8 from Tokyo/Narita to Boston will proceed as planned. The flight will be canceled and will operate as flight JL8008.
