Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo will open an afternoon tea lounge exclusively for its guests, named the “Pagoda Room,” on August 5.
Located on the hotel’s higher floors (12th floor), guests can enjoy the “Premium Afternoon Tea” while overlooking the expansive garden. The menu includes seven types of sweets, such as Tokyo Unkai Cookie Sandwiches and Mousse Chocolates (including four seasonal items), six types of savory items like lobster showfloor and Kobe beef roast (including three seasonal items), and two types of scones. For drinks, there will be teas from Fortnum & Mason, a brand rarely found outside its official stores in Japan.
The service is available from noon to 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 to 6:30 p.m., each session lasting 150 minutes. Prices are ¥12,000 from Monday to Thursday, and ¥13,000 on Fridays to Sundays, national holidays, and days before holidays. Service charge not included, tax included.
A “Premium Afternoon Tea” stay package is also available. The package includes the Premium Afternoon Tea (available from 4 p.m. on the day of check-in), choice of breakfast from Western and Japanese restaurants or room service, and access to spa facilities (pool, onsen, and fitness gym). Pricing is at ¥96,500 for a Prime Superior room with city/garden view for two people. Service charge and tax included.
