The Manyosen Line and JR West Japan announced that transportation IC cards such as ICOCA will be accepted on all lines starting from late September.
IC entry machines will be installed inside the trains, allowing passengers to settle their fares by touching their ICOCA or other transportation IC cards upon boarding and alighting. Moreover, it will be possible to charge these cards inside the train. A “Manyosen Line ICOCA commuter pass,” which integrates the commuter pass with SF (Stored Fare) function, will also be issued. The commuter pass information for the Manyosen Line will not be printed on the physical ticket.
ICOCA can be purchased at the Manyosen Line headquarters, the Kaetsunou Bus Ticket Center, and the Cross Bay Shinminato counter, including a deposit of 500 yen. The deposit will be refunded without any fees upon returning the IC card.
