APA Hotel & Resort Sapporo opened its indoor pool ‘DOSANCO’ on July 20th and the adjoining restaurant bar ‘Restaurant Bar EZO’ on August 8th.
The indoor pool ‘DOSANCO’ features an open, all-glass enclosure with two barrel saunas installed by the poolside that can accommodate up to six people each. During the summer season (from July 20th to September 30th), these saunas can be used as warming rooms, while outside this period, the pool can serve as a cold plunge, allowing guests to enjoy the saunas year-round. Sandals and sauna mats are available for free rental, and swimsuits and sauna hats are for sale.
Operating hours are from 7 AM to 10 PM (day-use available from 11 AM to 7 PM). Overnight guests have free access during certain times, while day-use is only accepted with room-included plans. Outside of summer, day-time slots are set at 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM, and 5 PM, each lasting for 105 minutes, operating on a rotation system. A reservation is strictly required, and an additional fee applies for staying guests. Pricing per sauna unit varies by the number of users: 3,000 yen for one, 5,000 yen for two, 6,800 yen for three, 8,400 yen for four, 9,500 yen for five, and 10,500 yen for six.
The Restaurant Bar EZO, located adjoining to the pool, has started operation after a renovation. It offers meals and drinks that can be enjoyed poolside, utilizing local Hokkaido ingredients, alongside amenities such as darts and karaoke, allowing it to serve as a bar space as well.
