Skymark announced its financial results for the period of April to June 2024, reporting a net loss of ¥15.16 billion.
Business revenue was ¥23.542 billion, and the operating loss stood at ¥2.182 billion. Passenger demand was strong, leading to the highest number of passengers for a first quarter and a seat occupancy rate of 80.7%. The operating loss was recorded due to increased costs driven by currency depreciation and inflation.
A gain of ¥1.101 billion on the evaluation of foreign currency-denominated assets and an adjustment amount for corporate taxes etc. of ¥0.483 billion were recorded. As of July 31, the company has refinanced a syndicated loan of ¥20 billion.
The full-year financial outlook remains unchanged, with business revenue projected at ¥112.2 billion, operating profit at ¥3.5 billion, and net profit at ¥4.2 billion.
